DesignerG Services is a company that provides building energy efficiency and related consulting services to property managers, real estate professionals, co-op and condo boards, and individuals. We have experience with many types of commercial buildings, with a specialization in multifamily buildings. Our team is composed of experienced professional Architects, Engineers, Certified Energy Managers, LEED Accredited Professionals, and others.

Gail, the Principal of DesignerG, is a licensed Architect having worked in the building industry as an Architect and Energy Management Consultant for many years. Specializing in the multifamily sector, she has assisted Building Managers and Homeowners assess the efficiency, provide design solutions, and upgrade the performance of their buildings. This has included feasibility studies for fuel conversions; audits of building envelope, HVAC and lighting; developing energy saving design ideas; engineering; providing technical assistance with the implementation of energy saving measures; and incentive research, selections and submittals. On the construction end, Gail has much experience in contract document preparation, negotiating and construction administration. She manages each project from start to finish, always aiming for client satisfaction and project success. Gail is also the principal of Ascher & Associates, a full-service architecture firm located in the tri-state area.

Members of our team are LEED APs, which means they are accredited to design to a high standard of energy efficiency. They are knowledgeable in overall building energy usage, sustainable sites, native plants, water conservation, energy conservation and optimization, indoor air quality, green materials, and recycling. LEED APs can certify a building as a LEED project, which is a process that establishes a standard of sustainable excellence, and can command prestige, higher rents, and incentives for a client.

Marc Karell


Marc is a professional engineer with years of experience as a CEM, involving GHG emissions, carbon foot-printing, and air quality testing. In addition, he has become proficient in energy auditing and modeling. He has expertise with both commercial and multifamily residential buildings. Marc also has developed programs for monitoring, recording and analyzing data for future building use.

Anthony Bruni


Anthony is a mechanical engineer, with many years of experience in the field, encompassing a wide range of HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and fuel system types. His expertise lies in heating and domestic hot water systems. Tony manages field surveys, design, drawing production, specifications and bid documents. He also assists in cost estimating and bidding.

Robert Fischman


Robert is a Civil Engineer and Sustainability Manager. He has managed numerous building projects in the multifamily housing, commercial, governmental, and education sectors. He is experienced in green building strategies, energy auditing, benchmarking and commissioning. His knowledge of energy efficiency, sustainability, GHG accounting, and energy strategies maximizes benefits to both clients and the environment.

Bonnie Hagen, MBA, LEED AP+

Bonnie Hagen


Bonnie is a Certified Building Analyst and Sustainability Manager. She has been involved in green construction and renovation projects for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities. She specializes in LEED certification, energy efficiency upgrades, lighting design, NYC LL84 & LL87 compliance, sustainability planning, and securing government and utility incentives for environmental enhancement projects.

Frank Ambrosino, RA

Frank Ambrosino


Frank is a registered architect that has had numerous years of experience in the architecture field. His expertise lies especially with technical issues, including details, specifications, approvals, and construction administration. He has been involved with numerous building audits, forensic work, and energy efficiency plans for commercial buildings.
